(Sum Kin-lok) On the eve of the announcement of Hong Kong’s Policy Address, developers are gearing up for a flat sale battle. Victor Lui Ting, deputy managing director at Sun Hung Kai Properties, said that Phase 2A of NOVO LAND, a large-scale residential project in Tuen Mun under SHKP, will soon launch CHARLOT TOWER 1A and CHARLOT TOWER 1B, which will provide a total of 410 units. According to SHKP general manager Chan Han-lin, apartments of CHARLOT Block 1A and CHARLOT Block 1B will offer one-bedroom to three-bedroom units, as well as special units. Chan expressed confidence in sales due to the property’s views, and added that the developer would wait until after the announcement of the Policy Address to set the prices according to market sentiment.
SHKP to launch a number of new projects in the coming year
In addition, Lui said SHKP plans to sell the remaining 200 units of its University Hill project on 63 Yau King Lane at Pak Shek Kok, Tai Po, over the next two to three weeks. Meanwhile, by the middle of next month, SHKP may launch YOHO WEST, a property development project in Tin Shui Wai. Within the year, SHKP may launch the Phase One sales of its Cullinan Sky and Cullinan Sea developments at No. 10, Kai Tak Concorde Road, Kowloon East. Regarding the many new projects coming to the market, Lui said he was unfazed by the competition and believed that it would support the growth of Hong Kong's housing market.
